Published paper in Statistics in Medicine with possible application for COVID-19 alert system

Janez Stare and Nina Ružić Gorenjec published a paper with Robin Henderson (Newcastle University) titled Random Cancers as Supported by Registry Data in the journal Statistics in Medicine with a possible application for the establishment of an alert system for COVID-19 epidemic in Slovenia based on proportion of confirmed cases out of daily conducted tests (available here in Slovenian language).

Mlada sekcija Statističnega društva Slovenije vas vabi na svoje četrto srečanje, ki bo potekalo v torek, 21. 4. 2020, od 19. ure naprej. Lecture of biostatistical centre are canceled

The lecture that should happen on March, 25th 2020 is canceled. The lectures of biostatistical centre will continue when possible according to the state regulations.

Institute for Biostatistics and Medical Informatics (IBMI), formerly Institute for BioMedical Informatics (so still IBMI) was founded by the Faculty of Medicine as a result of a need for a unit which would perform, or coordinate, tasks related to data analysis and providing information, relevant for research in medicine.
