A COLLECTION OF THE MOST COMMON TYPES OF ARRHYTHMIAS

INTRODUCTION

This collection of ECG recordings represents the most common types of arrhythmias that we encounter in everyday clinical praxis and does not include all possible arrhythmias. Only isolated arrhythmias are presented; combinations of arrhythmias are frequently present in clinical praxis, however they have been avoided to make the explanations of electrocardiograms clearer. We expect to continuously upgrade our series of electrocardiograms in the future.

All recordings are printed on standard electrocardiographic paper at 25 mm/s paper speed (1 mm corresponds to 40 ms, 5 mm corresponds to 200 ms). The vertical resolution, is 10 mm/mV unless otherwise noted. The filtration of the electrocardiogram varied with every recording. The monitor leads used were non-standard bipolar precordial leads that do not correspond to standard electrocardiographic leads. Nevertheless, differences in recording techniques have negligible effect on recognition of arrhythmias presented.

The recordings are divided into 4 categories. First category presents normal electrocardiographic recording, second category represents supraventricular arrhythmias, third category represents ventricular arrhythmias and fourth category represents conduction disturbances.
