Born on September 9, 1952 (there were times when this didn't seem so long ago).

Education:

Elementary school in Kranj, from 1959 until 1967.

High school in Kranj, from 1967 until 1971.

Graduated in 1977 at University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Mathematics, field of Mathematics. Thesis: “Group of units in the field of algebraic numbers”.

Master degree 1989 at University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Medicine, field of Biostatistics. Master degree thesis: “Statistical analysis of survival time and its application in survival after myocardial infarction”.

Ph.D. 1994 at University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Medicine, field of Biostatistics. Thesis: “Measures of explained variation in survival analysis” (in English).
